TEDxHimi2017に登壇するスピーカー8名が決定しました。

第一弾の4名に続き、最終発表となった4名の方を、より詳しくご紹介。

今回は、山﨑健太郎さんをご紹介します。

山﨑さんは、国内外の数々の建築賞を受賞するなど、非常に注目されている若手建築家です。

子ども、高齢者、障がい者など、特殊な居場所を必要とする人たちのために問題に真摯に向き合い、クライアントや地域住民等と共に相応しい建築を導き出すべく、模索しています。

彼の代表的な作品に、千葉県佐倉市のはくすい保育園があります。

この保育園は、「保育園は大きな家である」という考えに基づいて設計されており、建物の域を超え、自然の力を取り入れ、子どもたちの原体験として残るような場所に昇華させました。

「地域の人に受け入れられない建築は、ただの迷惑なオブジェになってしまう」と話す彼の大きな輝く瞳は、人と建築の新しい未来を照らしています。

This time, we will introduce Kentaro Yamazaki.

Mr. Yamazaki is a young architect who has been attracting lots attention since receiving many domestic and foreign architectural awards.

He has been confronting the problems of children, elderly and disabled people, since they need specific spaces. He works with his clients and the local residents in order to design suitable architecture.

His masterpiece is the “Hakusui Nursery School” located in Sakura city, Chiba prefecture.

This nursery school is designed much like a large house. This house goes beyond usual architecture because he created this place using nature for children to be able to have formative experiences using their senses of touch, smell or taste.

“Architecture that is not accepted by the local community just becomes an obstacle,” he stated, as in his large brilliant eyes shines a new future for people and architecture.
