八木 景子

八木 景子 ハリウッド・メジャー映画会社の日本支社勤務後、自身の会社「合同会社八木フィルム」を設立。
タブー視されていた捕鯨問題を取り扱った初監督作品『ビハインド・ザ・コーヴ』は、自費400万円を投じ撮影・編集・監督を一人で担当。
世界8大映画祭の一つ「モントリオール世界映画祭」に正式出品され、国内・海外の多くの大手メディアに取り上げられる。
日本で公開後、強力な反捕鯨国アメリカでも劇場公開を果たし、反捕鯨団体の幹部らとコミュニケーションも計り波紋を呼ぶ。
今では23言語版となり、189ヶ国世界中へ配信中。

Keiko Yagi
After working at the Japan branch of Hollywood’s film company, she established Yagi filim LLC. For her first movie as a film director, she directed, edited, shoot, and expended $40000 by herself. The movie titled “Behind the Cove” the subject of whale conservation which considering taboo. Since this movie was exhibited at Montreal World Film Festival, it received great attention of media.
